An evil fusion of Batman and Atrocitus from the Dark Multiverse, Batrocitus joined forces with the Dark Knights of The Batman Who Laughs to attack Earth-0. After their victory, he was tasked with overseeing New Apokolips, a hellish world where the majority of the remaining superheroes were imprisoned.
