DRAGON BALL - Mini Piggy Bank - Crystal Ball

The Dragon Balls are small, orange-colored spheres that can fit in one hand, each bearing a number of stars, ranging from one to seven.

In the anime, before the start of the story, the Dragon Balls were represented as a single, unique ball that God had offered to bring hope to humanity. But some men tried to steal the Dragon Ball to use it for evil purposes. God then took the Dragon Ball and divided it into seven balls, which he sent to seven different locations around the world to make the search much more difficultdb_ep 1.

The dragon Shenron was created by Mr. Popo via a miniature model, and the Almighty breathed life and power into him.

During the first two translations of the manga, Dragon Ball was referred to in the masculine form, but the Perfect Edition established that it is indeed feminine, also in use in the DVD subtitles. Each Dragon Ball bears a name derived from Chinese, which literally means "star ball" followed by the number of stars it corresponds to. However, the Chinese transcription being too difficult to pronounce, the Japanese transcription of these names has been retained: thus, the famous four-star Dragon Ball so dear to Son Goku is named Su Shinchu, taken from the Chinese transcription Si Xing Qiu (star ball 4). It should be noted that the names of the Dragon Balls were omitted from the French version of the television series and older manga editions. It was only from the translation in the deluxe edition that the balls were retranscribed by their names for the first time. The only difference between the intermediate translation and the Perfect Edition likely lies in the absence of accents in the latter, to avoid as much as possible the "Japanization" very present in the intermediate edition and to obtain a more natural French version for the final edition.

The Dragon Balls glow faintly and emit weak electrical waves, which allowed Bulma to design a radar specifically for detecting them and pinpointing their location: the Dragon Radar, named as such by the young girl herself, and which is the expression subsequently used by all characters to define this special radar.
